La Parra is a small hamlet located near the beautiful St Clemente reservoir with its turquoise waters. The hamlet is on a hillside with woods and a stream down below. La Parra is situated along the edge of the Sierra de Castril mountain range.

The small village of Fátima is a 7-minute drive, offering simple amenities and restaurants. The town of Huéscar is 20 minutes away with more amenities including a 24 hr health center, a large weekly market. The city of Baza is just under an hour away, with the regional hospital and large supermarkets. Granada is an hour and 50 minutes.

The area is surrounded by olive farms, almond orchards and natural parks, with great options for hiking, mountain biking, hang gliding and stargazing. Sheep and goat herds graze on the hillsides. The stunning village of Castril and the Sierra de Castril Natural Park are 20 minutes away. The region has several pristine turquoise reservoirs and community swimming pools fed with natural spring water.
