Orce is known for its summer festivals, medieval festival, concerts, and its popular natural spring water swimming pool.

Orce and the surrounding hamlets are also home to archaeology sites to ancient communities dating back to the first humans who arrived in Europe, plus the discovery of a large mammoth.

The town of Huéscar is 30 minutes away, offering more shops and services, as well as a large weekly market and a 24-hour health center. The town of Baza, a 45-minute drive, has large supermarkets and the regional hospital. Granada is 90 minutes away. Airports are 2-2:45 hrs away.

The region offers superb hiking, mountain biking, paragliding, and off-roading, as well as dark starry skies. Turquoise water reservoirs are 45 to 60 minutes away.
