We are pleased to present this hidden gem of a villa, situated very close to the town of Sax, and hidden amongst its trees, the house is very private, but not isolated.
You enter via a tree lined driveway to find the house surrounded by its gardens. A large terrace and an 8 x 4 m pool are located in front of the house with an outside kitchen, BBQ, small pond, aviary and casita. There are two wooden cabins in the gardens plus a third attached to the house for storage.
You enter the house via a large closed in terrace / summer room with big windows that open up to the terrace and pool area, here you have sun and shade all year round. Through a door into the generous hallway and another door to the living room, with a wood burning stove.

Doors lead to the bedrooms and bathroom plus kitchen from here.
Bedroom 1 has two rooms, one leading on from the other, perfect for a home office , children’s room or large dressing room.
Bedroom 2 also has two rooms, another large area suitable for a dressing room plus a big bedroom with an original open fireplace, and air conditioning unit.
Bedroom 3 which is a single room with built in wardrobe space leads on from the first room.
Also off the living room is a large bathroom with toilet, large sink and walk in shower.

From the living room a door leads to the very big Kitchen / Dining room, with a fully built in rustic style kitchen, air conditioning unit, a huge wood burning stove with oven, and a large glass door leading to a further 4th bedroom or store room ( currently used as a large pantry )
Outside there is a separate casita with a kitchen / living room and a 5th bedroom, there is currently no bathroom , but one can be added to the rear of the casita where there is a perfect covered space.
There are two entrances to the property for vehicle access , plus the gardens are mature and well planted with many trees, plus an orchard area with various fruit trees.
also to the bottom of the garden is an area with many animal shelters, for chickens, rabbits, ducks, goats etc and a polytunnel of 40m2 for growing vegetables.
There are also 250 olive trees on the property, in three different areas, which produced over 100 litres of oil last year, most of the olive trees are situated to either side of the property for easy access to collect the olives when ripe and maintain the land.

This house was built in 1995 and has been well maintained, however the central heating boiler and air conditioning units do need a full service.
There are lovely views of Sax castle form the rear of the house, and the town is just a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk .
Alicante airport , city and beaches are just 30 minutes’ drive.

This house needs to be seen to be fully appreciated, so come and visit.

The picturesque town of Sax tumbles down a hillside in the Vinalopó Valley, in south-eastern Spain and is one of a series of towns and villages in this region of the Costa Blanca which are dominated by castles. Sax has a population of around 9,000 and is located between the towns of Villena and Elda. The history of Sax goes back to the times of the Moorish occupation beginning during the Eighth Century and little is known of the town prior to that time.

The Castillo de Sax (Castle of Sax) which is lit up at night, was originally built on a limestone ridge during the Tenth Century and the Levante tower from the Twelfth Century still survives today, the keep and courtyards were built at a later date. Despite its strong defensive position, both Sax and its castle were taken by troops under Jaime I of Aragon in 1239 and later in 1476 Sax became part of the Marquisate de Villena, within the province of Murcia. During the War of Spanish Succession (1701 – 1714) Sax sided with Felipe V who conferred the title “Muy Noble y Muy Leal” on the town for its staunch support. In 1836 Sax finally became part of the province of Alicante.

The people of Sax are warm and friendly and the town has a good selection of shops, tapas bars and restaurants, a market is held twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays. As always Sax has its share of fiestas and festivals, the main one being the Moors and Christians festival held during the first 2 weeks of February.
