Canal de San Clemente is a quiet hamlet with only a few full time residents. The altitude is 1044m. To the south, it’s a 15 min drive to San Clemente Reservoir and dam (1,5 km as the crow flies) and to the tiny hamlets Duda and La Parra. The bustling small town of Huéscar is 20 minutes southeast, with shops, restaurants, a weekly market and 24hr health centre. To the north, the road passes along La Sagra Mountain and leads into the province of Jaen.
