In the town there are two supermarkets, several bars, restaurants, hairdresser, cultural center, health center, pharmacy. Every Sunday of the year there is a market that takes place in the square by the sea. There you can buy fruits and vegetables from the farmers themselves among other things. If you think you are missing something, there is Águilas just 10 km away, which is a big town where all supplies are available.

In the municipality there is a newly discovered Geode that is unique. «The Pulpí Geode is a tourist jewel of the province that, due to its value, is unique in Europe and in the world. From the castle in San Juan de los Terreros you can see an exhibition virtually thanks to 3D computer recreation.
