Lodge Madera

The fully fenced estate of ‘Lodge Madera’ can be accessed via an electric gate (or a separate service gate). Driving up the impressive palm-lined driveway, the stunning wooden villa comes into view. The wood used in the construction was imported from North Carolina, USA. It took three 13-meter containers to transport the more than 54,000 kg of numbered timber to Spain. The villa was built in 2007 by a team of five specialists.
Main Building – The Wooden Villa
The villa is spread over two floors and features covered terraces all around—perfect for enjoying the beautifully landscaped garden, dining outside, or taking a siesta in the shade. The current owners have added a stylish outdoor kitchen to the spacious covered terrace, and there is a small underground wine cellar.
On the ground floor, you’ll find a spacious and bright living room with a sitting area, an impressive fireplace, and a dining area that connects to the fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen leads to a utility room, which opens into the large garage with two doors—offering ample space for two cars. There's also a newly built carport with a terrace above, allowing the garage to be used for other purposes.
There are two bedrooms on this floor, each with its own ensuite bathroom (both featuring a shower and a bathtub). One bedroom has a private entrance, making it ideal for guests. The other has a walk-in closet.
Upstairs, there’s a spacious mezzanine lounge area that offers a stunning view of the villa's woodwork. There are three more bedrooms here, all with built-in wardrobes and ensuite bathrooms. One of the bedrooms has a large private terrace with panoramic views of the beautiful landscape—also accessible via an external staircase.
Guest Accommodation
Next to the pool is a guesthouse, filled with natural light thanks to two recently installed sliding doors. It features a spacious living/sleeping area, a stylish kitchen, and a bathroom.
Outdoor Area
A real eye-catcher is the 6x10 meter swimming pool, complete with a rock wall and waterfall jets. The pool has recently been regrouted and fitted with new lighting. The adjacent pool house contains the filtration system, a toilet, and an outdoor shower.
The owners’ love for gardening is evident throughout the grounds, with a wide variety of well-maintained trees and plants. A stone shed offers convenient storage for garden tools.
There are also flat areas in front and behind the lodge—ideal for keeping horses, for example. A covered area already exists at the back, providing a shaded spot. These areas are well-separated from the rest of the garden.
Lastly, there’s a sea container discreetly integrated into the landscape, barely visible but ideal for extra storage.

Location
‘Lodge Madera’ is located just outside La Canalosa, in the Hondon Valley between the towns of Hondón de las Nieves and Hondón de los Frailes—only 30 minutes from Alicante Airport and 40 minutes from the coast. The valley is known for its variety of olive, almond, and vineyards. All daily amenities are nearby.
