Luque is also known for its cultural traditions, especially during Holy Week when the float of the Virgen de los Dolores (Virgin of Great Sorrows) is carried by the region’s first all-female Hermandad, a historic and much-celebrated moment in local devotion. Many more festivals are held throughout the year, including the colourful Día de la Cruz on the 3rd of May.
