Castillo de Locubín is a Spanish town and municipality located in the northern part of the Sierra Sur region, in the province of Jaén. It is close to the municipalities of Alcalá la Real, Alcaudete, Martos and Valdepeñas de Jaén. The San Juan, Ranera and Susana rivers flow through it and the source of the San Juan river is a near by popular tourist attraction. Every year in May, the town holds a famous cherry festival and several other fiestas throughout the year. There is a lovely municiple outdoor pool open in the summer and several bars, restaurants, supermarkets, banks and other amenities can be found throughout the town. There is also a sport centre and adult and children centre where activities are held throughout the year and much much more. This is a small town with a big presence.
Granada airport is around 50 minutes away whilst the larger international airport of Malaga can be reached in around 1 hour 45.
