Friday’s are market days when local produce, amongst other items, is abundantly available. Dotted with small pensions and hostals in and around the town Turre is a great little Spanish hideaway where one can enjoy local cusine in a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere.
Situated only an hour's drive from Almeria international airport and 1.5 to 2 hour drive to the airports of Murcia and Alicante, Turre has excellent motorway access and in the next few years will be served by the AVE high-speed train from Madrid which will stop at the nearby town of Vera. The nearest beaches of Mojácar and Garrucha are approximately 8 kms away.
