Cueva Javi in Galera

Cueva Javi is a beautiful cave house with tons of character. It is situated in a tranquil neighbourhood in the heights of Galera, with views across the valley. The main cave has 3 bedrooms and one bathroom. Above the main cave is a delightful ensuite bedroom with its own terrace. The mountain above the cave is beautifully natural and rustic.

Ìn front of the cave is a patio with space for outdoor relaxing. The property receives sun from morning till mid-afternoon. Inside, to the left of the entrance hall, the sunny front room is the dining room. To the right of the hall is a full shower room. Both rooms feature wood beam ceilings. You then step down into the welcoming central hall. To the left and straight ahead are two spacious, comfortable bedrooms, each with a walk-in closet. To the right is the large living room, which leads to the kitchen and to a third bedroom with built-in closet. The living room has a cupboard and the chimney houses a wood burning stove.

The kitchen in this cave is charming but very small, which can be perfect for holidays. Alternatively, the front room can be converted into a nice sized eat-in kitchen.

To the left of the main cave, a staircase leads up to the private ensuite bedroom with its tiled terrace and expansive views. The terrace has a cosy sitting area with a small traditional stone BBQ. This ensuite with terrace is a special spot that you and your guests will love. It may even become your treasured hideaway. It is also a great attraction if you decide to let your cave as a holiday rental.

Both caves are tastefully decorated and well finished, with carefully chosen lighting, and quirky, authentic features both inside and out. Both cave entrances have traditional split barn doors. Three of the bedrooms feature shelf spaces dug into the cave walls. The caves are sold fully furnished.

This property is situated on a quiet street with very little passage. It has a parking space located across the road. (Each of the neighbouring properties has their parking space across the road.) The property is in excellent condition and requires minimal maintenance, so it can be lock up and leave.

A footpath takes you 10-minutes into Galera village centre, where you will find shops, banks, the pharmacy, tapas bars and restaurants, a weekly market, and the summer swimming pool. A 10-minute walk by the road takes you to walking and mountain biking trails with panoramic views of the Badlands. There are two natural spring water swimming pools within a 10-minute drive and pristine turquoise lakes within 20-45 minutes
