There is also a gas butano water heater in the garage and a Rangemaster cooker/stove in the kitchen connected to gas butano in a casita on the upper terrace kitchen wall.
There is a water storage tank of approximately 12000 litres capacity below the lower terrace which harvests rainwater from the roof area and if necessary pumped from the local spring via piping installed under the approach road. The water is pumped up to a 1000 litre tank in the garage for distribution to the house. A chlorinator system in the garage allows appropriate water treatment as necessary. Additional water can be delivered in 6000 litre quantities at a current cost of 120 euros as required under an existing contract. Investigation has identified a subterranean source of water in proximity to the house which could be accessed by drilling. There is a sewage facility close to the house which has been upgraded to AFO standards.
Rute is a larger Town yet unspoilt less than one hour from Malaga and offers a whole host of bars, restaurants and shops, famous for its Jamon and Anis along with the Chocolate factory to which people from across Spain travel every year to see the famous nativity scene. Iznajar is right next to Rute and thought to be one of the prettiest white villages in Spain with its stunning lake and beach areas which parts can be seen directly from this house.
