Casa Leslie is a beautiful, bright 2-story house in the peaceful country hamlet of Canal de San Clemente. The road into the hamlet crosses an ancient Roman stone bridge and dead ends at the other end of the hamlet so there is no through traffic. Canal de San Clemente is surrounded by rolling hills of farmland, with stunning views of the Sierra de Castril mountains to the east, and La Sagra, the highest mountain of the region (2383m), to the north.
The house has a large entrance hall, then you pass through an archway to a hallway leading to the 2 bedrooms (one ensuite) and 2 bathrooms with showers. Upstairs is a spacious, open plan kitchen and dining room, a living room, and large back patio. The living room has a small balcony with great views of the neighborhood and the mountains.The dining and living room have French doors that open onto the back patio. The patio is fully fenced and has views onto farmland behind the house.
The house is designed for comfort. Central heating is provided to the entire house through a network of radiators connected to a pellet hydro stove in the entrance hall. The upstairs has air conditioners above the French doors. The roof is in perfect condition. Furnishings are included except for a few personal items.
Canal de San Clemente is a quiet hamlet with only a few full time residents. The altitude is 1044m. To the south, it’s a 15 min drive to San Clemente Reservoir and dam (1,5 km as the crow flies) and to the tiny hamlets Duda and La Parra. The bustling small town of Huéscar is 20 minutes southeast, with shops, restaurants, a weekly market and 24hr health centre. To the north, the road passes along La Sagra Mountain and leads into the province of Jaen.
